As my parents’ cat has gotten older, she started developing mats in her fur. She’s very sensitive and a bit feisty, so I was nervous about trying to remove them. This brush completely exceeded my expectations—I was able to remove all of her mats and tangles with it. I’m incredibly relieved and so grateful this brush exists. To remove each mat, I usually started on the underside and worked in reverse, holding the mat with one hand and using the brush with the other. Sometimes I flipped the brush to get the right angle. It gently cut through the mat without pulling, making the process much easier. It took some patience, but it worked beautifully. Even better, my parents’ cat tolerated regular brushing both during and after the de-matting process. She even seemed to enjoy it at times, and the brush removed a surprising amount of loose fur with each pass. If you need a heavy duty cat brush this one is for you. JUST BUY IT!

My British shorthair mix has super dense short hair with a thick undercoat. This thing works so well and gets so much hair off her in such a short time, she looks like a smaller cat after using it! It seems well made and high quality. It basically rakes off the hair before it has a chance to shed everywhere. It’s a good size and I don’t think a larger one or a smaller one would be more convenient for a medium sized cat. It’s comfortable to hold onto and my cat doesn’t really mind it. I honestly can’t think of any downsides or cons to this product.

I have two domestic shorthair cats and I had lost hope to fight their constant shedding in my house. I have to take allergy pills every day and hairballs are a real thing here. On a recent family trip, my sister-in-law showed me this brush. I was skeptical specially because of the small surface to remove hair so I I decided to brush one of her cats to see it in action. Boy, how pleased I was! Although I had to often remove the turf of hair from the brush, there was undercoat fur floating around in the air! I finished brush her cat and immediately ordered one for myself. Yes, the brush is more on the pricey side but the quality is excellent. It’s comfortable to hold it and the comb goes really further down. My two kitties loved it, one even rolling around and coming back for more. It was gentle on their coat and super efficient. It was easy to clean and no hair mayhem when I finished it. Such a great investment, I’m so pleased!

A feral cat recently adopted me as I was walking through the woods and it just happened to be a long haired cat. I’ve had cats my entire life, but never a long hair. It was spring and he was starting to shed his winter fur, so I needed something desperately to help remove it. The reviews and my friends sold me on this. This brush worked wonders! So easy to use and so effective at removing the dead fur in the undercoat. After a few short periods of use for my cat to get accustomed to this brush, he now loves to be brushed with this brush. I can tell you this brush really works! Without this brush, my cat would be a ball of painful knots. It’s expensive, but well worth it!!

Effective, but cuts the fur. I use it sparingly to thin my cats over all coat (volume and length). It does remove 'clumps' and will build a pile quickly, but again realize it is triming (cutting) the hair, so I wouldn't over use. Cat doesn't mind it. He will lay still for it. Actually he is more calmer when it's used, verse his normal detangler/slicker brush. It's a good solid product with a nice weight in the hand. Remember to use the Guard, and retract it when you use it. Done that a couple times, start using it and wonder why I got nothing. Retract cover/guard and it's much more effective 😀 But again, understand this CUTS the fur, so light, limited strokes if you are just using to thin/trim the coat. Hard strokes will cut the coat and possibly your cats skin.

Used before & REALLY GETS UP under coat for a LOT LESS SHEDDING in the house! GREAT PRODUCT!!!! A DEFINITE must have for shedding animals & surprising outcome if is supposed to be a non or minimal shedder!!!

I love this product. The reviews were spot on. My cat was coughing up hairballs multiple times a week and brushing with a normal brush was not cutting it. The reviews led me to this tool and it exceeded my expectations. It removes a lot of loose undercoat hair that the regular hairbrush missed. Her hairballs are down to once a month or so. It's really important to test it on your own skin first so you know what it will feel like for them. That way, you can more gently discover the right pressure for grooming your pet with this too. Super easy to get the hair off the tool too. I could build another cat with it. A trick I use to make mine sit still: creamy cat treat in a tube. It comes out slowly, and so she stays put while I groom her. Win-win.

Initially, I was using the product the wrong way as a regular brush, but later learned how to use it gently, and this made my cats. Love it. This brush takes off a nice layer of Court, and since then, my fur babies have shed less.
