I love using contactors to make industrial grade switching for my woodworking machines. Even high end modern machines usually come supplied with simplified switching so there is always room for improvement. This 240V contactor from HESCHEN is destined for my wood lathe. Using this type of switch gear on a lathe is great because it makes it possible to install a big red mushroom OFF button next to your knee for a a quick stop if things get hectic. I've wanted to do this for years. Recently there has been a move towards DIN rail attachment. I am sure this makes installation very fast if you are working with a modern modular system but if not you, have to fiddle to improvise a short length of DIN rail to attach the part. This contactor from HESCHEN has both a DIN rail clip but also traditional screws hole mounting at the back corners, that makes me happy too. The whole piece is on the relatively large size and is fairly heavy which gives me confidence that there are good parts inside. There are the usual three pole connections but there are connectors for the actuating solenoid at both the bottom and the top of the unit. This will give more wiring possibilities. This is first time I have used HESCHEN but it will not be the last. Very nice unit.
