Wow! This box is great! It was a little larger then I expected but I'm happy about that. I included some pictures in my hand to show the scale. I was hoping for a box to just to hold my needles that I'm working with and a few extra. I was surprised that it was big enough to hold small scissors also along with lots of pins and needles. The magnets inside both the bottom and top of the box aren't as strong as I expected but I'm glad for that as well since after using it, it would be harder to get the needles out if it was any stronger. I've included a picture of holding it on its side to show that it holds everything just fine at the strength it is. If I were to slam the box shut, the pins with glass heads will fall into the lower portion but none of the needles do. And when they do fall, they are held by the magnet on the bottom. Also, if the magnet had been too strong, I would be afraid to have it by my sewing machine. Strong magnets can damage computerized sewing machines so I just don't use those strong magnetic pin catching bowls in case I forget. These magnets are not strong enough to interfere or damage it (in my opinion. I'd check your machine independently) The box is held together by magnets that are very strong. It securely holds the lid shut. I like that there is not a clasp to get in the way or have to undo one handed if I had a project in my hand. The finish is nice. I was afraid the cork on the top wouldn't be very usable but it is. It's not very deep but it holds a needle just fine. I'm very excited about this box. It's very sturdy. The hinges are more then adequate. I like the felt bottom. It'll be even prettier when it has wear and tear with some bumps and dings from years of use. It's one of those fun things that my grandkids are going to associate with grandma. Not too many people have one. It is going to do everything I need it to do and more. I'm planning for a very long airplane trip and this will be perfect to keep my needles in place.

This is more than a needle box. I also keep my embroidery scissors in it. I put the three or four needles I am using for a project inside. While I am cross-stitching I can rest my current needle on top of the box which is magnetized and it is easily available. This box is both useful and beautiful.

Product arrived exactly as described and in great condition. The top is also magnetic, which I didn’t realize but is very useful. My only, tiny, complaint is that the felt interior is not cushioned at all. Seems nitpicky, I know, but some give in the bottom of the container would make it much easier to pick up the pins and needles that are stuck to the magnetic surface. This might not be an issue if you use large needles (I use sharps sizes 10 & 12) or have long or very sharp fingernails. Not a dealbreaker, but something to consider. Overall, I do like this case and still use it for my more specialized darning or larger needles.

So many great reviews. I received the one with the crooked top, stripped screws & a weird flaw in the grain of the wood. Not impressed.

Decent enough box, holds needles and pins as promised. But lost stars because I had to spend three days febreezing and airing it out as it came with a very very strong and unpleasent smell like BBQ sauce and cigarette smoke.

Super cute and compact, but has enough room for a small pair of sewing scissors along with any sewing needles. The magnets keeping the box closed are very strong, I was pleasantly surprised by the. The magnets inside the box are fairly strong as well. I really like the fact that it has corkboard on the top to put needles in that you're working with.

Really strong magnets inside can hold waaaay to many needles at once. It's amazing. They can also hold my thicker yarn needles while they are inside a plastic storage tube, so that's crazy strong. The magnetic closure that keeps it shut is also really secure and I don't worry about it coming open while traveling.

High quality! Very well put together, the cork on the lid has greatly reduced my panicked scrambling for a dropped needle. It was bigger than I imagined, so I added a quarter to a picture for scale, but thats what I get for skipping the product details. The magnets to hold it closed are a lot stronger than i had expected as well, but it's perfect as I drop many things, not just needles, as this stays closed.
