My First Spanish Book

This is a lovely first book for bilingual children, or for teaching your child the basics of a foreign language. Bright and colourful, it is a cheerful book, attractive to kids. This book will last a while, as the range of subject matter will span the early stages of learning, from animals and colours, to numbers, shapes and transport, later incorporating the spelling of the words. It is also a reasonable price.

While the book is really nice, what was pointed out by the Spanish native speaker, it shall say MI PRIMER LIBRO not MI PRIMERO LIBRO. Lacks editorial supervision?

This book is wonderful for learning a wide variety of Spanish words and keeps the child interested as it has various 2-page topics like "in the bathroom", "at the park", "clothes", "colours", etc which they can then practice in every day activities without it feeling like homework! There is an index with phonic pronunciation for all of the words, so you cannot get it wrong! The added advantage is that I am learning these words too!! My 4-year old finds the content just at the right level.

Title pretty much says it all; this is a good book for small children to learn a few simple words in Spanish. Granted, there is no law that says only little kids are allowed to own this book; I am just saying that this is clearly the target customer base. It is good for kids to have more guides to Spanish besides Dora! :)

Great book for an introduction to Spanish for children. We also own the French version and it is great to have them together to compare all three ways.

I have two versions and love both. It is basically a picture dictionary and concentrates on 10 topics or so. I use it to expand vocabulary and for oral prompts. Very compelte and colorful. great price!
