## Description

desertcart.com: EXLENE Gamecube Controller Switch, Wireless Switch Pro Controller for Nintendo Switch/Lite/PC/Android/Ios/Steam, Support Wake Up, Motion, Adjustable Vibration, Turbo & Auto Turbo (Upgraded,Blue) : Video Games

Review: This IS the Perfect GameCube Controller! - This controller can do just about everything between Nintendo Switch, Android, and PC. When it's in Xinput Mode it totally responds like an XBOX controller even though A is B, B is A, X is Y, Y is X, and so on because of the button placements of Nintendo vs XBOX controller layouts are. EXLENE isn't a company that gets often talked about as far as third-party controllers, but after making such an extensive amount of research on what is the best Bluetooth GameCube controller for PC and all, this definitely is the one. The only difference of this in feel is the start button placement and having 2 Z buttons instead of one. They tried to modernize it for Switch and so much else it's compatible with, and that's completely understandable. I just wanted to give my Daughter the most authentic feeling controller, and this was perfect. Makes me kinda want to see what else they may come out with too for other systems for those what want an authentic feeling controller to use on more than the system it was made for while being able to be modernized without taking too much away from the original feel. Thank You EXLENE!!!
Review: Pretty good, but has a couple dealbreakers; recommend looking for an official GCN controller. - This controller is pretty decent, all things considered. For an off-brand controller, it feels very similar to the original GCN gamepad and functions about as well. The compatibility with PC and Switch is much appreciated, as well as the improved d-pad and c-stick (although the d-pad is still quite mushy). I played Metroid Prime, Prime 2: Echoes, Prime Remastered, and Prime 4: Beyond using this controller and was satisfied with the results. Although I do not care for turbo buttons and would rather this controller did not have them for tournament purposes, I do understand the inclusion. However, three things keep me from truly recommending this controller. 1) To begin, the buttons (especially the shoulder buttons) feel rather cheap. The face buttons feel good enough, but the plus, minus, and home buttons are too sunken in and are not as clicky as I would hope. The shoulder buttons simultaneously feel too hollow and too heavy, being somewhat harder to press than, say, an 8BitDo controller's shoulders. The build quality overall feels somewhat cheap, and individual components (such as the aforementioned buttons) concerned me enough to return the device. The sticks, while nice and tense, are definitely not more advanced sticks like TMR and Hall-effect sticks. These sticks WILL wear out quickly with extensive use. I would highly recommend that the creator(s) of this controller look into implementing more modern sticks. 2) The controller's rumble is, frankly, quite bad. It is too intense at the highest level, and it is even too high on other settings. At the minimum setting, you can barely feel it, and most in-game events do not even register. I tested this on Steam with other games (namely, Cyberpunk 2077, a game that features rumble extensively) and found the same issues. Oftentimes, the controller will simply keep vibrating (intensely so) when small things, like jumping, happen. 3) Finally, the triggers are not analog. This is an issue explicitly because it is a GCN gamepad, which was known in part for its analog triggers. Because the triggers are digital, they will only register as held once you click down on the button. However, the triggers are still built as though they were analog, meaning you still have to perform the full pull to get any input at all. This often led to misinputs and the trigger feeling bad to pull, which I assume is also related to the build quality. Overall, while the EXLENE GCN controller is a great imitation - among the closest I have ever felt - it pales in comparison to the older PowerA wireless GCN gamepad and especially to OEM GCN gamepads (including the NSO GCN gamepad). Comparing this to other modern controllers, it lacks features that justify its price point; essentially, the only reason to get this is that you like the GCN button layout and sticks. The build quality, very poor rumble, and lack of analog triggers keep me from recommending this to anyone looking for a replacement for their GCN gamepad or looking to get into GCN gaming, especially at a $49.99 price tag. I would recommend getting an OEM or a Hori Battle Pad and an adapter, which you can probably do for around the same price.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best gamecube controller
*by M***L on May 15, 2019*

I have the bluetooth version. I am very happy with this controller, I use it to play smash ultimate. Works great, couldn't be happier. Yes, the triggers are not analog, but that doesn't really matter and I actually prefer it to the traditional gamecube controller because there is less travel distance and the actuation point has tactile feedback whereas the om gamecube controllers have tactile feedback well below the actuation point. The c stick is great, I love the mushroom on top. Everything else feels sold. The battery life is good and as advertised. Rumble is nice and strong. I saw a review or two saying that they can not hold the a button down because it registers as a tap, this is because they have turbo enabled for the a button. The turbo button is easy to use, configurable, and actually pretty useful for spamming a through menus. You definitely need to familiarize yourself with how it works even if you don't plan on using it. All it takes is 30 seconds reading the user manual that comes with the controller. The only bad thing I can say about this controller is that the left stick squeaks. It's quiet but noticeable. I think it could be fixed with lube but it isn't a big enough of an issue for me to bother attempting to fix it.
