The Best Balls I’ve Ever Tasted
So let me begin by saying this is my FIRST EVER Amazon review. I’ve been a prime member for probably 10 years now and I use this delivery service ALL the time yet I never felt as compelled as I do now to leave a review.... These cheese balls literally give me life. I love everything about them. Yes, they’re extremely tiny... but as far as I know, size does NOT matter in this case. These balls are literally so perfect that idk if I’ll ever eat another savory snack other than these ever again. They’re exceptionally flavorful. (You can taste both the jalapeño flavor and the cheddar cheese perfectly evenly. I know many reviews said they’re too spicy but I 100% disagree.) They’re extraordinarily crunchy. (If you love the SOFT CRUNCH of normal cheddar cheese puff balls, then these are not for you) They’re extremely small. (I love this because I can feel like I ate a lot more than I really did when I just pop one in my mouth at a time. These are probably a quarter of the size of a normal cheddar cheese puff ball, so in quantity, 1 cup of say 20 normal cheddar cheese puff balls is the same as 80 of these little balls of perfection.) I have ZERO critiques for these cheese balls... and this is a first. I will 100% be a repeat customer, & I mean it when I say you should DEFINITELY try them. You clearly don’t know what good food is if you don’t like them. P.S. They are a GREAT gluten free alternative to croutons for salad or soup. That’s how crunchy they are. They are so versatile and I truly mean it when I say I love these.

Flavorless but still the best
I have mixed feelings about these. On one hand, if you're looking for a crunchy snack with fantastic macros (high protein), I think these are unbeatable. Better than most protein bars, better than the Quest protein chips and crackers. Truly guilt-free. On the other hand, they taste like crap. The flavor fades in a couple seconds and you're left chomping on crunchy cardboard. I could still easily eat an entire bag in one go. I'm definitely going to buy more. But just know what you're getting yourself into. I got the variety pack with three flavors. Sour cream and onion was pretty gross but I still ate them all because again the flavor fades immediately. Nacho cheese was somehow worse. Jalapeno cheddar was definitely the best of the bunch and the one I'll order again. More salty than the others not as bad.

Better for Me than Chips At Least
These are so plain not even my cat likes them. That being said, the silver lining is that plain taste may prevent you from overeating in the first place. 1 star docked for being too expensive. Imho this should be $9.99 max in a perfect world. But $~27!? 1 star docked for the taste reminding me of cardboard. It’s not the worst, but it could certainly be much better. Without doing any research of my own I’ll leave 3 stars because I appreciate a substitute for chips that gives me 21g of protein with only 2g carbs per serving.

Finally!
9/2/21 update So recently I purchased sour cream and onion and jalapeno cheddar! The sour cream and onion ones taste like Funyuns! I love it. I added a little onion powder to make it taste more onion-y. These also have a slight “wet dog” after taste but the onion powder takes that away completely. The Jalapeno Cheddar is awesome! It’s spicy and has zero weird after taste. Cheesy and jalapeno-y. I didnt end up finishing the nacho cheese ones from my original review and probably wouldnt purchase them again but these 2 flavors are awesome! ***** These weren’t supposed to come until tomorrow but I got them a day early! I am so excited about these! These are a total game changer with dieting. I feel like now I’ll be able to actually lose weight because they will allow me to eat less. They don’t taste exactly like cheetos, but close enough. They also are crunchier than cheetos. They have their own unique taste. I got the Nacho Cheese kind and may try the spicier flavor in the future. I’m surprised how good they really are! They are smaller puffs, maybe a little bigger than a dime but that’s not a bad thing. A serving size is a cup so you get a lot for the serving! I am SO happy I accidentally stumbled across these. PS: The only thing negative I noticed about them is that they make your fingers smell like a dirty dog that needs a bath. At least with the Nacho Cheese flavor. They are still good though!

Provided the crunch I was missing...
I’m following a Ketogenic diet and was looking for a good low-carb snack. I really struggle to get my protein in, as I only eat one, sometimes twice a day. I was searching Amazon and somehow stumbled upon this product. Despite reading some not so favorable reviews, I decided to purchase the Sour Cream & Onion and the Nacho Cheese. In all honesty, I expected these to be merely okay at best. That seems to be the norm with Keto products. Truth be told, I was pleasantly surprised. I personally think the two flavors I’ve tried so far taste pretty good and they’re a surprisingly filling snack. They arrived quickly, within a few days of making my order. The containers are rather large, and when you measure out a serving, you realize you actually have quite a bit. They do not smell bad, but they do have a strong smell, so I’d advise either double bagging them or using a small container. My only real complaint is the price. They are a little expensive, but honestly, that’s not going to keep me from ordering them again. I did read some of the other comments and there were two that really caught my eye. One was that the individual had found some hard pieces in his/her puffs. I found some as well, in the Nacho Cheese flavor. I’m not sure what they are, I’m guessing just a bit of ingredients that didn’t get incorporated as well during the making process, but they honestly didn’t bother me. The other comment that caught my eye was the mention that this individual had expected something akin to the size of cheese puffs. These are about the size of a pea, and are nothing at all like the carb laden cheese puffs you get at your local grocery store. The size of the products didn’t bother me, because by the time you measure out the serving (30 grams or 1 cup), you’ve got a really decent amount. All in all, I do like this product and I will be making future purchases.

It’s like eating a dry old piece of cereal
The flavor is good I got the BBQ but have mixed feelings towards the texture. They are like eating a dry old piece of cereal, has good crunch but after a while they just taste gross. The serving size has you eating a lot in order to get the full protein amount so it’s hard to eat a bunch when they start to taste gross after eating half a serving.

Texture is off
I wanted to love these. My goals aren’t to stop snacking but to increase protein intake while feeding my snack cravings. The nacho cheese puffs have a great intro with a strong flavor and crunch to match but once everything dissolves you’re left with a weird styrofoam texture that makes you want to stop a few pieces in. Price is fair for a high protein specialty item of its size. It’s just gonna take me a long time to get through the bucket since 1/3 of a serving is all I can handle. If you can get past the texture and don’t mind seed oils and other taboo ingredients, this is a great option.

A four - but with Realistic Expectations
If you are craving a snack that feels utterly sinful, as though you’re cheating on your diet without actually cheating, this is not that snack. Let’s be very clear about that up front. These Twin Peaks Protein Puffs (Jalapeño Cheddar) do not taste indulgent. In fact, my husband snuck a handful (without permission) and nearly spit them out, declaring they “taste like cardboard.” I laughed… because I still ate, and enjoyed them. Here’s the context that matters: I gave up sugar three years ago and have since lost 185 lbs. That does not mean I tolerate bland food. Quite the opposite I desire flavor and genuinely hate boring snacks. While I wouldn’t say the flavor here is “great,” I also wouldn’t say I hated them. They are a bit dry in both taste and texture, but there’s a spicy kick that keeps you reaching for more. Somehow, despite the dryness, they’re oddly addictive. -- PLEASE NOTE -- These are not cheese puffs. They are not a “wow” moment. They are, however, a functional snack, keto-friendly, low-carb, high-protein, and in that reality, they do their job. My biggest complaint? The size. These are shockingly small. Like… Tiny-Tiny-Blink small. That alone kept this from being a higher-rated snack for me. Bottom line: - If you’re expecting indulgence, skip these. - If you’re keto, low-carb, and looking for something crunchy with a little heat, and you’ve retrained your taste buds, these are acceptable, tolerable, and surprisingly habit-forming. Indeed -- Not a cheat snack. But not a total miss either.
