Where is the gelatin derived from?

That's an interesting question. I found quite a few conflicting views. Here's some general info followed by my best recommendation in view of so many conflicting opinions. 
I assume you're trying to avoid something. This may help. It's from the label: "This product is free of corn, soy, yeast, wheat and other common allergens."  
Vegetarian Capsules vs Gelatin Capsules... I know you asked about gelatin... Just covering my bases. Then Gelatin info & my recommendation.
"Unfortunately, the image we all have of vegetable capsules being made from wonderfully healthy vegetables is patently false and the more accurate image would be of the wood-pulping factory or of the paper manufacturing industry, since that is the closest image you will have to the source of Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose."
One article I ran across states "vegetarian capsules are often deemed suitable to be classified as both Kosher and Halal products. This opens the option for a larger customer base. These capsules are available in various colors and sizes, and are more flexible in their application. Cellulose is the preferred capsule base for substances that have more of a semi-solid or gel composition. Additionally, vegetarian capsules have no known potential health risks, even when consumed in a long-term scenario as they are 100% natural and nontoxic."
On the bottle, it lists extra ingredients. The label lists both Gelatin and Cellulose. To me, that means, it definitely is not

Our two-piece hard-shell gelatin capsules (powder filled) are typically made of a combination of beef (bovine) and pork (porcine) gelatins. By contrast, our softgel (liquid filled) gelatin capsules are typically derived solely from beef gelatin, not pork. Bovine sources must be BSE/TSE free. The gelatin is generally sourced from North America, but in some cases may also be sourced from Southeast or East Asia (primarily Thailand, Indonesia, or Japan) or South America (primarily Colombia)."  That's from NOW which is a good product.
In view of the contradictions and possibly self-serving descriptions I found, because you probably have a pretty god idea of what you want or don't want.. Here's what I would do. 
Write down what you want in a product and go looking for it. That will be a lot easier than researching everything you encounter to find what you want. Look for what you want not at brands until you find more than 1 brand to supply you want. You're making finding what you want way too hare.

Sorry I ordered it but I never used it. My doctor said not to mess with my potassium and magnesium levels.

What size are the capsules?

They are 3/4 inch long and slender.  Very easy to swallow!
