KEYO1E 4.9'' AM/FM Radio Stubby Antenna Short for Toyota 4Runner 2004

I removed the OEM wire antenna from my Toyota 4Runner. Tested the KEY01E inside my rural garage over 70 miles from a good AM and a very weak FM station. Both were easily received and copy was very good. Being a Ham Radio operator, I know antennas are the most important part to any reception equipment. This little guy works as good or better than the OEM wire antenna. Now I can go through a carwash without removing the OEM antenna. And it looks great.

Update one year after initial review: This product proved to be noticeably inferior to a 6 3/4" stubby antenna from a US manufacturer that was also less expensive. I had rated this 5 stars to recognize the customer service but the reception sensitivity and sound quality knock it back to 3 stars. It worked when we swapped it out but we won't use it again.----The main question was whether the antenna would receive stations as well as the truly excellent mast antenna that came with our vehicle. We have many years experience in driving a 250 mile range, urban to rural, and changingAM and FM stations as we go. I would rate the reception as 85-90% as good as the very best stock mast antenna, not 100%, but just as good as lesser stock antennas on earlier model years of the same vehicle...and we can wash the car without worry. Reviews I read for other stubby antennas were scary but this antenna did not disappoint. I contacted the seller to ask for a longer stud bolt to attach the antenna -- the 3cm bolt supplied was not long enough to screw in fully into the housing of both the antenna the vehicle. The seller's representative was helpful and arranged to provide a longer bolt. Bottom line: we're happy with the purchase.

Does not fit 4runner 2011 comes with one screw and itbis small ..return waist of time

Will not pull in signal in rural areas. My factory antenna did a MUCH better job and seems to have a better range. This is going on the shelf and the factory one's going back on. Looks great but not effective..

Fit my 2013 4Runner but I could not receive any AM radio stations with it. FM stations seemed to be OK. Replaced my original antenna and was back to receiving AM stations.

Bought for a 14 4Runner. Works great!
