Eldorado

I've been running through E.L.O.'s discography in a haphazard order, and I finally hit this one. The one that finally broke them big (in America at least). And this album is...how do I put it? Let me put it this way: I've been a big fan of E.L.O. ever since I was a kid, but I always struggled to point to which album of theirs' was my favorite. There was always at least 2 or 3 songs on each of their albums I didn't vibe with. This album fixed that problem. It's perfect. Even the bonus tracks are perfect. This album tells the story of an individual who slips between their mundane reality and fantasy worlds so wonderfully that I don't want to give anything more away than that. If you've never given E.L.O. a shot before, buy this album. And if you have listened to E.L.O. before and haven't heard this album before...well, what are you reading this for!? Listen to it! I promise you won't regret.

If you like ELO this is a good album.

A classic, "can't move, it's an ebb tide" and "I can't get it out of my head" is how I feel listening to it! :) Whew...one of my all time faborite albums, but done in great CD quality. Thank you so much for re-releasing it! Instantly took me back to my old college days in 1974 and 1975 and made me thankful to still be here listening to it now in 2022. Seems even more powerful today, even listening to it through beat up headphones. It's a classic, not because it was ELO's first, but because it it one of the all time best ablums! Endorphinated eyes of thankfulness. "Hey, boy blue is back! :)

Okay like other reviews my CD arrived with a cracked case. I figure these CD's are like the old cut out albums. The seller got a deal on them and he is passing it along to the buyer (these are a good buy). The CD was fine. I had a empty CD case. Moved all the CD's artwork over to the new case. The sound quality is excellent. While I will probably buy the remastered version of this album when it is released I am enjoying this one now. If you are a fan of ELO buy this CD!!!

ELO - Eldorado - Interesting album and am glad I bought it.

Great album from ELO, after decades of wanting this album I finally bought it on cd years and years ago. Unfortunately I lost the cd... and bought it again, which is cool, cus now there are bonus tracks (although the one is only .45 seconds long, the instrumental medley is nice)! Viola! Be aware that if you are purchasing this at a super discounted price, the case is probably cracked. Thus was the case with the one I received and a few other cds at this discounted price. Even the replacements were all cracked. I have no problem with getting a cheap cd due to a cracked case,... but Amazon or the seller should note this so that people can decide for themselves if they want to purchase a defective item or not. Disappointed with Amazon on this...(what good is a replacement if it is in exactly the same condition?), not the album itself.

This is one of the greatest records of all time and I've bought it over and over in all formats. Truly brilliant compositions and performances by all. I am baffled as to the Explicit labeling of Eldorado Overture. I believe that label should be removed. I was lucky enough to see them perform during their "Time" tour. Keep going Jeff Lynne!
