I purchased "Stuff I've Been Feeling Lately" and "I Hope My Voice Doesn't Skip" and truly found myself lost in the words. When I saw that Cook had released a new book, "Anomaly", I couldn't wait to order it and it certainly did not disappoint. Reading Cook's words- I'm transported to another time, another place. I feel comfort in the words- solace . . . as well as heartbreak. Almost homesick for another time. From The Falling: For now, I will say when we were walking around the harbor, if it weren't for the poeple with umbrellas running for cover, I would have nevr felt the rain or heard the thunder. And if you knew what it was like before, you'd get what I meant that morning, when I said you were the only one who could make me forget it was pouring. Every word is understood. . . felt. Personally, her words have stayed with me.
