I had no idea what I was getting into but had heard of this pepper at some point in my life and just thought “wth” and ordered it . I usually do my due diligence..but took a chance on the brand price and the fact i had no idea what it was or how to use it. When I opened it the smell reminded me of a rainy day in Canada, my grandmother’s cottage. I have no idea and will have to do a lot of research to figure out how to reconstruct my memories of this spice. But I will give it a full five stars they are perfect arrive in a very cute jar and smell just like I can imagine. I am excited to give it a try it is really an unusual fragrance and flavor not like anything other than the memories it is triggering for me.

If you are wondering how this spice compares to black pepper...this is so much different, aromaticly. It has a pronounced fruity-ness that is wonderful. It's a must for Medieval cookery. The packaging of this particular product is EXCEPTIONAL! It is wrapped like a little gift and presented in a beautiful, air-tight, and REUSABLE jar. I loved opening this package! I would definitely order from this seller again to feel the joy and expectation of unwrapping my "gift"!

Looks just as described in the photo, quality was amazing. The taste is very interesting - peppery like black pepper, maybe even moreso, but with other interesting notes to it. I use a microplane to grind it, because putting it in an old pepper grinder didn't work, and I couldn't even get it to grind in a mortar/pestle, but the microplane works perfectly. The quantity is well worth the money, and the packaging was done very professionally. Would absolutely purchase from them again :)

A great tasting product which helps to curb cancer. The one drawback is that I can't find a pepper grinder that will grind it, so I have to crush it instead. If there is anyone who is familiar with this product and can suggest a pepper grinder that will work, I would appreciate your letting me know.

Love this spice! We had been unable to find any long pepper elsewhere, so were very happy to find this. Container is a small glass jar with a clamp closing that makes it air-tight, as well as easy to open and dispense from. We were so pleased with the spice, that we ordered six more really hard to find spices!

These come in longish strings, so I broke mine up and put them in my pepper grinder. A little goes a long way, and they provide a refreshingly bold pepper flavoring to my dishes. I would definitely make sure this product remains a staple in my larder.
