Loosen extra hard ground with a fork/shovel. Firm the ground by treading the soil back against the edging on completion. If the edge is going to sit above ground for a raised border, it may be necessary to use our galvanised stabilising pins.

What’s the best way to cut CORE EDGE?

CORE EDGE can be easily cut using a hacksaw or grinder, please take care with sharp edges and use metal primer on exposed steel.

How long will CORE EDGE last?

CORE EDGE is made from 1.6mm mild steel with a 20 micron galvanised coating and a 90-110micron thick polyester powder coat. Under normal conditions it has a life expectancy of over 15 years.

Can it form a right angle/corner?

Yes - rounded curves can be achieved by bending the edging, and 90 degree angles are easy to achieve after lightly scoring the edging.
