Dandy Blend Instant is a really nice alternative to coffee. I often add a little milk, and it becomes very similar in taste to my favorite coffee, which I really enjoy. It feels smooth and pleasant to drink, and I like that it’s often considered a healthier option. Overall, a great choice when I want something warm and comforting without regular coffee.

I discovered Dandy Blend in the early 2000’s when I was a young person taking herbalist apprenticeship classes. I was looking for a way to incorporate dandelion root into my diet without having to make a dandelion root decoction (a tea that’s boiled for 30 minutes). I don’t like dandelion root tea on its own, it’s too strong and bitter. Dandy Blend also was an attractive product and still is because it’s a caffeine free coffee substitute. Needless to say, all these years later, I still keep this product in my pantry; and use it regularly. I’ve recommended it to friends and family and they’ve reported back to me that it’s good. I’m a coffee, lover, and I drink my 2 cups of regular caffeinated coffee every morning. And if you are considering buying it as a caffeine free coffee substitute I say go for it; I think you’ll like it. I like to drink Dandy Blend in the evening as a dessert beverage/snack. It doesn’t keep me up at all. I like to take a heaping tablespoon of it and add it to hot water along with a heaping tablespoon of organic cacao powder and organic raw honey (when it’s really cold outside I add a 8th teaspoon of cayenne pepper) making my own “hot chocolate/Dandy Blend/mexican coffee” drink. I tend to use it this way more so in the colder months. In the summer, I use it in smoothies: I take a heaping tablespoon or two of Dandy Blend and add cacao powder to make banana chocolate smoothies along with vanilla Greek yogurt. The main reason why I’m choosing to incorporate Dandy Blend into my diet, is for liver support because it is a bitter and bitters are good for your liver. Dandy Blend isn’t just dandelion root but roasted chicory root and roasted barley as well. They also have their own health benefits, but I buy it for the dandelion root. It’s flavor profile has roasted/smoky undertones that hits first along with a smooth yet slightly bitter coffee like flavor. It’s pleasant with just the right amount of bitterness. It’s also frothy when you first pour it into the cup. The froth dies down once it’s stirred. I like to sweeten mine with honey but this is definitely a palatable drink otherwise I would not be a long time consumer - we’re talking decades here - of this product. I’m happy that I can order it here on Amazon now because of the free shipping through my prime membership. At times this product has been unavailable on Amazon (temporarily sold out) this year and I’ve had to buy it straight from the manufacturers website. I think it’s a product that’s gaining popularity. I’ve added two photos: one shows what the powdered blend looks like, the other is a cup of Dandy Blend straight with nothing added. I like it strong and use 1 tablespoon per 8 ounces of water which is what is featured in the second photo.

This is an excellent product. It tastes great and it dissolves easily. Seems a bit expensive but I guess it’s worth it being that it’s organic.

I’ve been drinking this off and on for years now, introduced to it by a friend. It’s now my go-to evening cuppa, since it’s caffeine free and quite tasty. I was recommended by my healthcare provider to drink dandelion tea every day for the benefits for my liver, and this has been a yummy and easy way to work that into my routine. Taste-wise, it’s roasty, dark, and slightly bitter. I wouldn’t say it’s similar to coffee, since Dandy is very much its own drink, but it is reminiscent of it. I usually drink my hot tea with just cream, no sweetener, but I do use a spoon of sweetener with Dandy Blend to balance out the bitterness and I really love drinking it. To me, the bag is a bit expensive, but I’m the only one that drinks it in my house so it lasts forever. It’s super easy to prepare- just put a spoonful of Dandy in your mug and add hot water! It’s worth a try if you’re interested in coffee alternatives or if you’re looking to gently support your liver health.

Dandy Blend Instant Herbal Beverage was recommended by my Herbalist. I was very skeptical about it. It tasted very good. I put a maybe a 1/4 tsp of homemade mocha in it. The smooth taste was coffee, but I missed the Caffeine. I put it in a K-Cup and brew in the Kuerig. It along with the mocha dissolved almost complexly. I will to buy this again, and I can recommend it to others, and recommend others looking for an Alternate to coffee. It would also be a good alternator for the office coffee area.

A friend introduced me to Dandy Blend, and despite my initial skepticism, I am now a fan. As someone who developed a high sensitivity to caffeine, I even steer clear of decaf coffee (which does contain small quantities of caffeine) much of the time. The flavor of Dandy blend is unique but reminiscent of coffee, especially when adding milk and sweetener, so it feels like a fun treat every now and then — with zero caffeine to worry about. I also love the convenience of how easily it dissolves it hot water. Toward the end of my bag, some of the powder had formed into hard lumps, but that might be through my own fault (it’s definitely possible I got a drop or two of water in at some point)

The Organic Dandy Blend Instant Herbal Beverage is a fantastic find. This 156-cup bag lasts a long time, making it the best price for such a high-quality, organic herbal drink. The taste is smooth and rich, very similar to coffee, but without any caffeine jitters. I love that it’s made with dandelion and other healthy ingredients. It dissolves instantly and is so convenient for busy mornings or an afternoon pick-me-up. The packaging keeps it fresh and easy to scoop. I’m very likely to buy this again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a natural and tasty coffee alternative. Absolutely 5 stars!
