I find this to be an essential accessory to the tumbler. I can drain all the water out without losing any of the media. I do this a few times to get things really clean before I empty it and use the magnet

I would recommend this to anyone who uses the FART. It helps a lot with getting water out of the tumbler without having to empty everything out. So far I've used this item many times and it's saved me a lot of time. It's very durable, functions exactly as needed, and I'd say for the price this is a fantastic value for us re-loaders!

I got a wet tumbler 3 years ago and used it twice. I loved the outcome but hated the pins. No matter what I did I had pins everywhere. I stumbled across these screens a couple weeks ago and decided to try them before I got rid of the wet tumbler. These work great. I can get the water out and then separate the pins from the brass with a media separator and not have pins and water everywhere. I’m keeping the wet tumbler and use it 99%of the time.

This is the best accessory to my Frankford Arsenal Rotary Tumbler. It allows me to drain the water without loosing a single pin. Saves time and helps me keep my pins longer. I only wish this came with the set to begin with.

Despite the complaints that the mesh is too fine and won't let the dirty water drain, I decided to give these a shot. I am glad I did. At first I did experience some difficulty in getting my full size FA rotary tumbler to drain. It gave every appearance that the mesh was indeed too fine and clogged easily; however, when I removed and checked the screen, it wasn't clogged at all. running tap water over the screen showed almost no restriction at all and If I poured the water out of the drum slowly, never wetting the top half of the screen, the water would drain. I wanted to drain quickly to flush as much dirt and soap out of the drum as I could so I had to keep experimenting. I quickly discovered that the problem draining was actually a vacuum lock. With the screen completely wet, the surface tension of the water on the mesh would prevent air from getting into the drum. All I had to do to "unclog" the screen was loosen the cap on the other end of the drum to break the vacuum seal and all the water cam rushing out. Now that I know the trick, I am getting 5-star performance, but since the screens ship with no instructions at all, and using them on the mini-tumbler would be a nightmare (it only has one opening, so breaking the vacuum would be difficult) I am docking one star.

I’ve been reloading brass for a while, and never had this filter screen before. This isn’t a necessity to clean brass, but it makes it so much easier once you get it. Prior to I had to carefully pour out dirty water, refill the tumbler with clean water, pour out again and repeat until clean water came out. Now I just put this filter on one side, flip the the tumbler and run constant water through it until it comes out clean. Much easier and faster. The material is very sturdy, it will not bulge under the weight of the metal media and brass. If you consistently reload, this is a very nice item to pick up.
